Winter is a season that we often think of as cold, impersonal, in sad or drab colors, without strong contrasts. But those of us who live life intensely know that winter is actually nature’s opportunity to create contrast. That’s what we tried to achieve with this bouquet of winter flowers.
It’s seductive and affectionate, it’s playful and jovial, it’s friendly but can also be romantic. It’s as versatile as all the times you might want to give someone a bouquet of flowers or surprise someone with a smile.
Winter, because it’s more static and associated more with quiet moments, is a very opportune time for a refined gesture, but one that conveys vitality and joy. Whether you’re grateful, happy to have good news to share with a loved one, or simply want to make a memorable gesture, a winter bouquet is the perfect gesture not just around the holidays, but throughout the season.
The colors we’ve settled on are this season’s classic colors. As we’ve known since childhood, red and green are the complementary colors that reign over the winter holidays. The reason is clear – red is the color of love, passion and strong feelings, and the postcards symbolize eternal youthful life, full of optimism and dynamism.
That’s why we wanted to keep this winter bouquet as close as possible to the reality with which we associate these holidays, and we got the green from pine – so specific to this season, especially in European culture, where it is associated both in terms of texture, color and smell with winter holidays.
Further, flowers are an emulation that symbolize love and appreciation of all the things that are so important to us, but which perhaps at certain times or circumstances over the year we may forget about, because of the rush and the very fast-paced life we live. But winter is the measure of all things and the time when we turn inward and do the introspection needed to evolve.
So these red flowers are roses, which are well known and associated with love. Apart from them, hippeastrum is such a beautiful flower not only because of its very strong color, but also because it’s a perennial, so it’s in bloom forever, even in this less plant-friendly season. Also part of this bouquet is the skimmia, whose beauty immediately makes us think of the winter holidays – it is classically used to create various ornaments and wreaths at this time of year, thanks to its fruity appearance.
The winter holidays are an incredibly busy time for us, which is why we ask you to place your orders as early as possible. Of course, we want very much to be able to fulfill any order we receive and it is our primary commitment to be there for you when you want to give something special.
